IS200SCSAS1A is an I/O expansion board manufactured by General Electric as part of Mark VIeS used in YSIL Core Safety Protection. Three SCSA I/O expansion boards must be connected via serial lines to the TCSA terminal board in order for the YSIL module to function. Ten 4-20 mA inputs, ten 24 V dc transmitter power outputs, six 4-20 mA inputs for transmitters that are externally supplied, three thermocouple inputs, three contact inputs, and three contact outputs are all provided by each SCSA. The Emergency Trip Relay (ETR) logic string allows the YSIL to utilize any of the SCSA's 4-20 mA analog inputs (AnalogInput01 R, S or T through Analog Input16 R, S or T TMR input sets).

SCSA CONTACTS:
The HART-enabled field devices are scanned by the Asset Management System (AMS) to assess their condition. The AMS, not the I/O pack, makes the decision regarding the scan command. Channels 1, 2, or 3 can be used by the AMS to send scan orders. The YSIL I/O pack (or if using PHRA/YHRA, it can be adjusted to enable these scan instructions to run on any of the three channels) or to only allow them to occur on the default channel 3 (as determined by the AMS). The I/O pack will accept a switch from channel 3 by setting the option AMS Mux Scans Permitted to Enable (it is disabled by default) (which is the default channel).

SCSA ANALOG INPUT ACCURACY:
General: Check the configured I/O pack's configured I/O pack's YSIL I/O pack analog inputs' accuracy.
Test Setup:
1. Obtain a multimeter and a signal source that can provide current and voltages that are within the parameters of the YSIL I/O pack that is set up.
2. Verify the boundaries for the 4-20 mA input types.
Test Details:
1. Choose the appropriate test values from the following table and apply them to the input for the configured I/O.
2. Write down the value that the YSIL reads for each test value as shown in the ToolboxST application's Input tab.
3. Run the tests mentioned above on each input channel that has been configured.
Acceptance Criteria:
1. For the input accuracy test to pass, all measured values must be within 2% of the complete range of input values.
2. Verify that the YSIL notifies the system that the input is out of range through the Diagnostics tab and that the channel becomes unhealthy for out-of-range values using the ToolboxST application.

COMPOSITE ANALOG TRIP TEST:
Any of the AnalogInput01 R, S, or T through AnalogInput16 R, S, or T TMR input sets, which are 4-20 mA analog inputs on the SCSA, can be used by the YSIL in the Emergency Trip Relay (ETR) logic string. To fully enable the analog input to work as a trip input for the ETRs, the user must configure AnalogInputx R, S, and T separately in the ToolboxST application. By performing the following actions for AnalogInputx R, AnalogInputx S, and AnalogInputx_ T, the user activates the SCSA analog input for tripping:
1. Make sure TripEnab(CFG) is set to Enable.
2. The TripSetPoint(CFG) = trip value should be set to 2. (if exceeded will cause the ETRs to trip).
3. Define the TripDelay(CFG), which is the amount of time that must pass before analog input exceeds the TripSetPoint(CFG) for the trip request to be accepted by the ETRs.
Test Case 1: Analog Input level below ETR Trip level
Test Setup:
1. Acquire a multimeter and a signal source that can provide current and voltages that are within the parameters of the specified YSIL I/O pack.
2. Verify the boundaries set for 4-20 mA input types.
3. Set Analog Input x R, S, and T to trip at a level of 10 mA after a delay of 100 ms using the Trip Enab (CFG), TripSetPoint (CFG), and TripDelay (CFG) configurations.
Test Details:
1. Choose a value for the input that is 0.4mA, or 2 percent of full scale, below the TripSetPoint(CFG) value.
2. Run the aforementioned tests on each input channel that has been configured.
