FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

IS200DTCIH1ABB is a Group Isolation Terminal Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI Series used in GE Speedtronic Turbine Control Systems. The DTCI (Simplex Contact Input with Group Isolation) terminal board is a streamlined solution designed for easy DIN-rail mounting. Featuring 24 contact inputs with a standard excitation of 24 V DC, it seamlessly integrates with the VCCC or VCRC processor board using a single cable. Users can expand their input capacity by connecting up to two DTCI boards, providing a maximum of 48 contact inputs. Additionally, these terminal boards can be vertically stacked on a DIN rail, optimizing cabinet space.

INSTALLATION:

To install, first, attach the plastic holder onto the DIN rail and then smoothly slide the DTCI board into position. Next, directly connect the wires for the contact inputs to the terminal block. The terminal block, of Euro-Block type, is affixed permanently to the board and features 60 terminals. Typically, #18 AWG wires are utilized for this purpose. For the SCOM (ground) connection, utilize screws 55 and 56, ensuring the connection is as short as feasible. Additionally, utilize the provided six screws to secure the 24 V DC excitation power.

OPERATION:

The DTCI shares the same features and onboard signal conditioning as the TBCI, with the distinction of being tailored for 24 V DC systems. Its input excitation spans from 18 to 32 V DC, with the threshold voltage set at 50% of the excitation voltage. It boasts an AC voltage rejection capability of 12 V RMS. For contact inputs, the nominal current is 2.5 mA for the initial 21 circuits, while circuits 22 through 24 handle 10 mA. Each input is equipped with filters to mitigate high-frequency noise and surge suppression near the signal entry point. The discrete input voltage signals are routed to the VCCC board (or VCRC), where they undergo isolation via optical isolators before being transmitted across the VME backplane to the VCMI. Finally, the VCMI forwards these signals to the controller.
