IS200HSLAH6A is a High Speed Serial Link Interface Board developed by GE. It is a part of EX2100e control system. The HSLA serves as a single or dual port High Speed Serial Link (HSSL) interface designed for host application boards such as MVRA, B, C, and F. The interface options include support for up to two HSSL interfaces, which can be configured either as RJ-45 copper CAT3e (right-angle) connections or fiber-optic connections for fast fiber connections.

Features

• For programmable components, it is equipped with a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for the application program. This FPGA allows for flexibility and customization, with onboard programmable flash available to load the application program. Additionally, it includes protected boot flash to ensure initial HSSL communications.
• In terms of I/O interface, the HSLA supports a generic 3.3 V I/O interface with the host application board. This interface can be configured as either input or output, with connector options including J1 and J2 (55 points) and JL (36 or 51 points). An input-only configuration is also available with J1 and J2 (0 points) and JL (10 points).
• Regarding power supply, the HSLA provides a 3.3 V DC power supply capable of delivering 1.0 A. This power supply is available to be utilized by the host application board for powering various components.
• These features collectively enhance the connectivity, programmability, and power management capabilities of the HSLA interface, making it suitable for a wide range of host application boards in diverse environments.

Installation

• During installation, it's important to note that the HSLA and MVRx are typically combined during the factory assembly process. This means that the HSLA is not available as a standalone replacement part for the PMVE module.
• Therefore, when installing or replacing components, it's necessary to consider the combined unit of the HSLA and MVRx. This ensures proper functionality and compatibility within the system setup.
