What is IC697ACC722?
It is a VME Backplane Connector developed by GE under VersaMax series.
How many interrupt jumpers does it include?
The card comes with six interrupt jumpers, enabling flexible configuration and control of module interrupts in the VME system.
What is the purpose of the optional rack fan assembly?
The optional rack fan assembly is designed to provide additional cooling for the VME rack. This is especially useful when high-power modules are used, as they can produce significant heat. The fan assembly ensures proper airflow, extending the life of the modules and the rack components.
How is the fan assembly connected and powered?
The fan assembly consists of three parallel-wired fans. The fan on the left has a 3-foot cable to connect directly to an AC power source, while the remaining two fans connect through a cable assembly to the first fan. For consistent operation, it’s recommended to connect the fans to the same power source as the IC697 PLC, so the fans run continuously, even if the PLC is turned off.
