FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

IC660BBA020 is a Voltage/Current Combination I/O Module manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark II Series used in GE Speedtronic Control Systems. This module is a specialized analog I/O device featuring four analog input channels that can handle various input signals, including 0–10 VDC, 10 VDC, 5 VDC, 0–5 VDC, and 4–20 mA (or 1–5 VDC). It also includes two analog output channels supporting the same voltage and current ranges. The module is equipped with integral converter circuitry offering a 12-bit resolution with a sign. It operates independently with a power input range of 18-56 VDC, typically at 24 VDC.

Designed to support the Genius Bus protocol, this module can exchange I/O data with Genius Bus masters over a network. Each channel updates every 4 ms and features software-adjustable filter responses, which can be set to none, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, or 1024 ms. These input filters help stabilize the received signals, reducing fluctuations for more accurate readings.

The IC660BBA020 Analog I/O Block is part of the GE Fanuc I/O lineup, featuring four input circuits and two output circuits available in two block versions. This module supports five analog power ranges: 0 to 10 Volts DC, -5 Volts DC to +5 Volts DC, -10 Volts DC to +10 Volts DC, 0 to 5 Volts DC, and 4 to 20 milliamps (or 1 to 5 Volts DC).

At a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, the module typically experiences a thermal drift of 10 PPM per degree Celsius. Users can utilize any GE Fanuc IC66 handheld monitor with this module, which also provides advanced diagnostic features to generate fault messages.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What types of analog blocks are supported?

The system supports analog blocks with a power supply of 115 VAC or 24/48 VDC.

What is the maximum current load that the internal power supply can drive?

The internal power supply of the block can drive a current load of up to 300 Ohms.

How is the power supply connected?

For 24/48 VDC, connect the power source to terminals 6 (DC+) and 7 (DC-). For 115 VAC, use terminals H and N along with a 250V, 1/8Amp slow blow fuse.
