Functional Description

DS200TCDAG1AD is a Digital I/O Board developed by GE. This board proccess digital contact input and output signals within control systems. The Digital I/O Board (TCDA) is installed in the digital I/O cores Q11, Q51, and Q21 (if present). It functions by processing digital contact input signals from the DTBA and DTBB terminal boards, as well as contact output (relay/solenoid) signals from the TCRA boards. The processed signals are transmitted over the IONET network to the TCQC board in R1 and R2, and if Q21 is installed, also to the CTBA terminal board in R5.

Connectivity & Signal Transmission

  • JP Connector: Distributes power from the TCPS board in the R1, R2, and R5 cores to the Q11, Q21, and Q51 cores respectively.
  • JQ Connector: Connects to the JQR socket on the DTBA board to carry contact input signals from the DTBA board to the TCDA board.
  • JR Connector: Connects to the JRR socket on the DTBB board to carry contact input signals from the DTBB board to the TCDA board.
  • JO1 Connector: Writes contact output (relay/solenoid) signals to the TCRA board in location four. This connector is not used in Q11, as relays in location four are directly controlled by TCQE in R1.
  • JO2 Connector: Writes contact output (relay/solenoid) signals to the TCRA board in location five.
  • JX1 Connector: A shielded twisted pair used for transmitting IONET signals.
  • The TCDA board in Q11 writes signals to the JX2 connection on the TCEA board in location five of the P1 core.
  • The TCDA board in Q51 writes signals to the JX connection on the CTBA terminal board in the R5 core.
  • JX2 Connector: Functions similarly to JX1 and can be used interchangeably.

Configuration & Jumpers

  • J1 and J8: Used for factory testing.
  • J2 and J3: Control IONET termination resistors.
  • J4, J5, and J6: Configure the IONET ID for the board.
  • J7: Enables the stall timer function.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is DS200TCDAG1AD?
It is a Digital I/O Board developed by GE.

What is the function of the board in the Mark V system?
The board collects contact input signals from the DTBA and DTBB terminal boards and sends contact output signals (relay/solenoid signals) to the TCRA boards. It also transmits these signals to the TCQC and CTBA boards over the IONET network.

Where is the board installed?
The TCDA board is typically installed in the digital I/O cores Q11, Q51, and Q21 (if present) within the Mark V system.

How does the board communicate with other components?
The board communicates via IONET, a high-speed data network used in GE Mark V control systems. It transmits input and output signals between the TCQC, CTBA, DTBA, DTBB, and TCRA boards.
