Specifications
Part No.: DS200SDCCG4RGD
Manufacturer: General Electric
Product Type: Drive Control Card
Series: Mark V
DS200SDCCG4AHD is a Drive Control Card under GE Mark V series.
- This GE Drive Control Board has three microprocessors and RAM that can be accessed simultaneously by multiple microprocessors. Each microprocessor has its own set of capabilities that allow it to execute a certain sort of processing, and the microprocessors can handle all drive control functions when used together.
- Five vacant EPROM connectors on the new board are used to plug the EPROMs from the defective board. When handling EPROM modules, always wear a wrist strap since static electricity might harm them.
- Remove the chip from the connector but leave the module in place. The connector on the replacement board should be the same as the one on the original board. Four of the modules have factory-defined configuration values, while one has user-defined configuration values.
- If necessary, a drive configuration software installed on a laptop can be used to make changes to the setup. The file can be accessed by connecting the board to the laptop through a serial cable.
- Before creating a serial connection, double-check that the serial port is configured correctly and that the cable is plugged into the correct port on the laptop. Make sure the connector is completely inserted in the connector as well.
- As part of the switchover, you must also transfer the optional cards from the old board to the new one. With a screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the cards in place, as well as the cords.
- After matching the cards with the standoffs on the replacement board, put in the screws. Any cables from the old board should be connected to the new one.
