Functional Description

DS200CTBAG1ACB is a Termination Module developed by GE. It is a part of the Mark V control system. The CTBA (Analog Termination Module) is located in the R5 core of the Mark V system. It serves as a termination point for several important signal types and communication pathways 4-20 mA Output and Input Signals, Shaft Voltage and Current Connections, IONET Communication, COREBUS Communication and Power Monitoring Interface

Connectivity

  • 8PL - Carries IONET signals to the STCA board in the R5 core.
  • JAA - Outputs 4-20 mA signals from the TCCA board in the R5 core.
  • JAI - Used for COREBUS communication. If unused, a termination resistor should be installed.
  • JAJ - Another COREBUS connection; like JAI, it requires a termination resistor if not connected.
  • JBB - Receives 4-20 mA inputs and shaft-related signals (voltage and current) and routes them to the TCCA board in R5.
  • JEE - Handles COREBUS communication with the STCA board in R5.
  • JPD - Supplies 24 V DC power from the TCPD board in the PD core.
  • JX - Routes IONET signals to the TCDA board in the Q51 core.
  • 6PL - Typically unused in standard configurations.

Power Redundancy

The CTBA includes a bypass relay to allow COREBUS communication to continue if power to the board is lost, enhancing system reliability.

Hardware Configuration and Jumpers

  • BJ1 through BJ14 - These jumper positions connect the negative terminal (NEG) of their respective mA input signals to DCOM (common ground).
  • BJ15 - Connects the RS232 Monitor Port (TIMN) to DCOM.
