IS215UCVGM06A is a UCV Controller Card and is part of the GE Speedtronic Mark VI gas turbine control system. The Mark VI UCVA controller is a 6U high, single (or) double slot, single-board computer that operates the turbine application code. The controller mounts in a VME rack called the control module and communicates with the turbine I/O boards through the VME bus. The controller operating system is QNX, a real-time, multitasking OS, designed for high-speed, high-reliability industrial applications. Three communication ports provide links to operator and engineering interfaces as follows

  • Ethernet connections to the UDH for communication with HMIS and other control equipment.
  • RS-232 connections for setup using the COM 1 port.
  • RS-232 C connections for the communication with a distributed control system (DCS) using the (COM 2) port.
  • The controller is loaded with software specific to its applications to steam, gas, and land marine aero-derivative (LM) which are a balance of plant (DOP) products.
