Functional Description

DS3820PSWA is a Power Supply Board manufactured and designed by General Electrics. It is a part of the Mark IV Control System. It provides stable and reliable power to the system’s components, ensuring that the control functions operate efficiently. 300VDC capacitor is securely attached to the board using a clamp and multiple screws to prevent any dislodging during operation. There is a polyester vinyl m/e capacitor rated at 200V ±10%, which also contributes to the board’s power regulation capabilities.

Features

• The board includes three resistors, each made from different materials to optimize performance in varying conditions. R1 is a carbon composite resistor, R2 is a wire-wound resistor with a specification of 8431 TRW 10W 3K 5 percent, and R3 is a ceramic-covered metal film resistor, ensuring stability and precision in the board's operation.
• Transformer, marked with 138A1012P1 on its metal casing. This transformer isolates the power supply and ensures safe operation. It is specifically marked 23V17 isolation transformer PRI. 117V 50/60 Hz, indicating it supports primary voltage isolation to protect the rest of the system.
• Most of the board’s wiring terminates at the terminal block located at the lower corner. The terminal block is screw-mounted to the board and features six double screw terminals for easy connection. Wires leading to the terminals are generally black, with the first three connections distinguished by red, white, and blue markings at their ends, ensuring proper identification for correct wiring and safe operation. 
• Converts and stabilizes power to ensure reliable operation of the control system and its components, such as sensors and actuators.
• Integrated protection to prevent damage to the board and connected components in the case of overloads or short circuits.
• Designed for high efficiency, reducing power consumption and heat generation, making it suitable for continuous operation in industrial environments.
