Functional Description

DS3800HPRB1B is a Pulse Rate Input Board developed by GE. It is a part of the Mark IV control system. The Pulse Rate Input Board performs real-time monitoring and processing of pulse signals from various sources. It is designed for precision and converts digital pulse inputs into actionable data. These boards support high-speed signal processing, ensuring accurate measurement of pulse frequencies. Multiple input channels make them versatile enough to handle several pulse signals simultaneously, allowing seamless integration into complex systems.

Features

  • Four Pulse Rate Input Channels: The board supports four distinct pulse rate inputs, which convert pulse signals into analog signals for further processing.
  • High Reliability: Designed for critical applications, the board ensures accurate input monitoring and signal conditioning.
  • Integration with Mark IV Control System: Seamlessly integrates with the Mark IV panel setup, supporting various input and output signal routing requirements.

HPRB Pulse Rate Test

The Pulse Rate Test is a diagnostic procedure conducted to ensure the functionality and accuracy of the pulse rate to analog input channels on the HPRB card. Additionally, it verifies the generator and line bus input channels associated with the board.

  • Signal Sources: A pulse rate signal is generated from the HXPD timer. Another pulse rate signal is sourced from the HPRB timer. Power supply signals include P15V, N15V, and ACOM.
  • Signal Routing: Signals from the SEM module of R, S, T are routed through Cable D to the NATO, where they undergo conditioning.
  • Conditioned signals are returned via:
    • Cable A from JE of NATO: Simulates generator and line inputs to the HPRB card.
    • Cable A from JG of NATO: Feeds the conditioned signals to the four pulse rate input channels on the HPRB card.
  • Testing Process: Perform the test procedure on each HPRB card installed in the Mark IV panel.
  • Slot Configuration: The HPRB card in slot 1A of R, S, T is classified as the standard card. HPRB cards in slot 2A of R, S, T are optional.
