FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
DS3800HAFA1B is an Auxiliary Function Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark IV Series used in GE Speedtronic turbine control systems. It is a part of the Mark IV series of control systems. It consists of 16 Analog and 32 Digital Inputs. In synchronizing interface module HAFA card in Communicator (C), monitors each signal for a permissive to synchronize. In the Mark IV master protection circuit HAFA cards monitor relays and their status for alarming hazards.
The HAFA card's fourteen differential analog inputs are tested during this test. Any HSAA card's channel 2 output serves as the source signal. The source signal is sent through Cable B to the NATD, where it is conditionalized. By "forcing" GSADJ in Data List 15, the source signal can be changed. A voltmeter can be used to check the source signal when it is linked between the TP2 of the NATD and ACOM of the HAIC card in the R, S, and T cores. The fourteen differential analog inputs on the HAFA card receive the conditioned signal from the NATD through cable E. To ascertain whether the HAFA card has failed, do the HAFA Vibration Tracking Filters tests as well.
