Features and Components

  • Dual 13-Pin I/O Connectors: The card features two 13-pin male I/O connectors, positioned side by side along the middle section of one of the long edges of the card. These connectors provide interfaces for communication with other modules or external systems.
  • Dual LED Display Indicators: On either side of the I/O connectors, there are two LED display indicators.
    • TXDA (Transmit Data A)
    • RXDA (Receive Data A)
    • CTSA (Clear to Send A)
    • DSRB (Data Set Ready B)
  • Factory-Drilled Mounting Holes: Each corner of the board includes a factory-drilled mounting hole, ensuring secure and stable installation within a rack or enclosure.
  • Ribbon Cable Connector: On the opposite long side of the board (across from the I/O connectors), there is a single ribbon cable connector. This interface enables high-density communication with other system boards or modules.
  • Five Plug Ports (P1-P5): Positioned next to the ribbon cable and running parallel to the board’s long edge, there are five plug ports labeled P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5. These ports allow for additional modular connectivity and configuration options.
  • Communication Relay: A single communication relay is located near one of the LED displays. This component facilitates the switching and routing of electrical signals based on control logic or system conditions.
  • Three Jumper Switches: The board includes three jumper switches used to adjust hardware configurations or enable/disable specific functions. One jumper is located close to the communication relay, while the other two are positioned near each of the 13-pin connectors.
  • Plated Through-Holes (PTH): Behind the second LED display, there are two rows of eight PTH sets (Plated Through-Holes). These serve as extra contact points, offering flexibility for repairs, testing, or custom modifications.
  • EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory): The board houses one EPROM chip, which stores essential firmware or configuration data required for the operation of the regulator card within the Mark IV system.
