FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
DS215KLDCG1AZZ03A is an IOS+/IEI DLAN Communication Processor Module manufactured by General Electric as part of the Mark V Series used in gas turbine control systems. The IOS+/IEI units use DS200-based 10s hardware printed wiring boards (boards) with physical packaging and performance enhancements over the previous versions of the 10s. These two units provide the features of the 10s in applications requiring panel mounting using the IEI and door/desk mounting using the IOS+. Both units support expanded I/O, 32 input points, and 28 outputs. The operation of IOS+ and IEI is almost identical to the DS200-based 10s. The IOS+ and IEI comprise three major boards and several optional boards. The DS215KLDC is the main control board. The primary functions of the DMCB are to supply the control power requirements and provide an interface and a data processing unit for the following information paths:
There are two microprocessors on this board: the dominant microprocessor (DUP) and the LAN microprocessor (LUP). The DUP is an Intel 8OC186 running at a clock rate of 33 MHz. Most of the circuitry on this board is associated with this processor. The LUP) is an 8OC196 processor operating at a clock frequency of 15.667 MHz. LUP is the drive DLAN and DLAN+ communication processor. An auxiliary power supply module provides the conversion from the 115/230 ac line voltage to the 19 V ac CT control power required by the main unit. The ac line is connected directly to the DS200DPCB power connect board. A 3-wire ac control power connection is made between this module and 1TB on the main unit.
OPERATION:
Direct operator interface is provided in two forms, one with the DS200KLDB board (KLDB), and one with the DS200DKLB board DKLB). The KLDB board has 32 configurable keys with state LEDs, 6 configurable lo-character displays, and a seventh diagnostic display with a 16-key keypad. A variation of this board is the DS200DKLB Board. The DKLB provides the same functionality as the KLDB with a reduced number of keys and displays. Both boards use the keyboard microprocessor (KUP), an 8OC196 microprocessor operating at a clock frequency of 11.059 MHz. to provide key, display, and LED functions.
