DS303A2A01FXA010 is a DC Contactor developed by General Electric under EX2100e. The EX2100e Excitation control devices provide a Regulator control system in an 800 mm (32 in a) container with appropriate accompanying gear. There are several packaging alternatives available. For better service retrofit applications, the Regulator system can be purchased as part of a finished cabinet, or individual components can be sent separately for onsite mounting. An input section, a dc link, and the converter output part comprise power conversion. A 3-phase diode bridge with input filters serves as the input portion. The system supports a primary alternating current input range of 90 to 280 V RMS for the 35 A system and up to 480 V RMS for the 120 A system.

The maximum ac input frequency is 480 Hz, and it can be provided as 1-phase or 3-phase via a permanent magnet generator (PMG), auxiliary bus, or generator terminals. The interface boards of the EX2100e Regulator system are interconnected through a high-speed serial connection (HSSL) and cabled to their appropriate I/O terminal boards.

  • Interlock contact arrangement—If necessary, interlock contacts can be changed from normally open to normally closed and vice versa. Locate the NC contact farthest away from the plunger head to ensure appropriate clearance on NO-NC forms.
  • Time rating of normally closed contactors —Normally closed contactor coils are only for intermittent duty. The coils can be powered 30% of the time but not for more than 10 minutes continuously or 20 minutes constantly once every three hours.
