531X307LTBADG1 is a LAN Terminal Board manufactured and designed by General Electric. It is part of the EX2000 Series used in excitation turbine control systems. The drive (or exciter) cabinet houses LAN Terminal Board (LTB). The LTB acts as a bridge between external devices like contactors, indicator lights, pushbuttons, interlocks, and control devices (such as drives). There is no hardware that can be adjusted in the LTB. The LTB has two different kinds of connectors: terminal board connectors for individual wires and plug-in connectors for ribbon cables. Plug-in connections, denoted by the letters PL in their names, transport power, and signal I/O inside the control device.

531X307LTBADG1 Features

  • The G1 LTB offers eight CI1PL-CI8PL 24 V dc programmable control input connectors. These inputs are linked to 8PL, which relays I/O signals between the drive control board, the NTB/3TB terminal board, and LTB. For 24 240 V ac or dc input signals, the LTB offers eight sets of input terminals.
  • For usage by the drive control board, the input signals are transformed into 24 V dc logic signals. It should be noted that the G2 version LTBs cannot accept ac input signals. Seven form C relay contact connectors with low voltage, low current, and three terminals each make up the LTB control outputs.

Connector Types

The LTB has two different kinds of connectors: terminal board connectors for individual wires and plug-in connectors for ribbon cables.

  • Plug-in connections, denoted by the letters PL in their names, transport power and signal I/O inside the control device.
  • TB-identified terminal board connectors

I/O Connector

The LAN control board or drive/LAN control board, the NTB/3TB terminal board, the RTB or RTBA relay terminal boards, and the LAN control board are all connected to the LTB through connectors 8PL (G1 only), 10PL, OPTPL, RPL, and RPL, respectively.

I/O Terminal Wiring

All I/O terminal wire must be 28 14 AWG in size.

  • A 26-conductor ribbon cable has a maximum length of 20 feet.
  • Depending on the application, the maximum length of input and output wiring varies.
  • I/O ribbon cables should not be routed alongside power cables. In alternating current applications, capacitive coupling of connection wires can result in I/O input (IN1 IN8) leakage.
